Bally Bet Mobile App Now Live in Iowa
Bally’s Corp has launched their new Bally Bet app in Iowa.
The Bally Bet mobile sportsbook has gone live in its second state, announcing on Tuesday a beta launch on Iowa. Last month, the Bally Bet mobile app entered the Colorado sports betting market. According to a press release, the company plans to launch in two more states with a legalized sports betting industry by the end of this year.
To secure market access in Iowa, Bally’s signed a deal with Elite Casino Resorts, which owns Riverside casino and golf resorts Grand Falls and Rhythm City. This deal enabled Bally’s to obtain a mobile sports betting skin and offer sports betting in Iowa.
Bally Bet provides wagering options for all major sports, integrated social features, and in-app parlay games. Additionally, Bally Bet customers can earn points through sports wagers. The bettors can redeem those points for perks such as dining, gaming, and other amenities at Bally’s casinos nationwide through the company’s loyalty scheme.
The expansion into Iowa also gives Bally’s more exposure on Sinclair Broadcast Group’s local Fox and CBS television affiliates in the state.
Adi Dhandhania, Bally’s senior VP for strategy, said that Iowa “was an attractive market for Bally Bet,” as it was a state that has had a legalized sports betting market since 2019. Dhandhania added that they were looking forward to integrating the platform “into Sinclair’s broadcast and digital programming in Iowa.” Dhandhania concluded by stressing that the company aims to confirm Bally’s as “a leading retail sportsbook brand” and commented that they have the “third greatest reach in terms of U.S. legalized market access.”
The beta launch in Iowa is similar to when the app went live in Colorado. The initial focus will be on the deployment, testing, and refinement of the app. The Bally Bet app can now be downloaded in Colorado and Iowa on iOS and Android, in addition to being available via desktop at www.ballybet.com.
Bally’s Continues to Expand
Bally’s Corp, previously known as Twin River Worldwide Holdings, is based in Rhode Island. The company acquired the rights to the well-known Bally’s name in 2020 and has embarked upon an aggressive growth strategy in the U.S. online betting market ever since.
It also acquired Bet.Works, a technology platform, after completing the deal earlier this month. This acquisition gives Bally’s its own technology stack and turnkey solutions.
Last week, Bally’s revealed it has agreed to a multiyear market arrangement with Dodge City-based Boot Hill Casino & Resort. The deal means Boot Hill would implement Bally Bet when Kansas legalizes online sports betting.
In February, Bally’s was named as an Official Sports Betting Partner of the NHL. This is Bally’s first sports betting partnership with a professional sports league.
