We look at what are the best NJ Sportsbook apps for mobile sports betting. Now that betting on sports in New Jersey is legal, there is a growing number of operators to choose from.
Bettors are scrambling to have a wager on their favorite sports, and now that we can bet on our mobile, it’s never been easier. Unlike some states, there is no need to sign up in a Casino. Just pull out your cell, sign up, and get ready to bet – online or on your mobile.
All of the apps listed below are legal in New Jersey and are run by operators licensed by the Division of Gaming Enforcement. You can see our pick below of the top-rated NJ sportsbook apps, in rank order below. We have tried, tested, and reviewed these apps and think these are the best available to bettors in the Garden State.
There are Android, iPhone & iPad apps for all the Sportsbooks & operators, as well as a dedicated mobile site for most. If you have not downloaded a sports betting app before, our detailed guides & reviews will even help show you have to download them too! If you are new to sports betting, or just want to know what are the best New Jersey Sportsbooks, then check out our guide.

With its beginnings in fantasy sports, DraftKings Sportsbook had a head start on its competitors in terms of infrastructure. This certainly shows in its interface, which is pretty seamless and easy to navigate – even for beginners. Offering a considerable amount of sports betting options, including all major US leagues and international sports, bettors can place single bets or build parlays by adding further selections.
Their Sportsbook Pools are a fixed priced form of betting where wagers are placed against other bettors who have entered the same event – the more players in the pool, the bigger the prizes on offer. Where this Sportsbook shines though, is with their Live Betting, allowing users to bet in real-time as the action unfolds. Once a live bet is placed, you will see it settled as soon as the outcome is known. In addition, you can also link your DraftKings DFS account to your Sportsbook account while sharing the same wallet.
It must be noted that we think a couple more deposit and withdrawal methods would be appreciated. That said, they’ve recently added PayPal as an option, so things are looking up in that respect. But there is no doubt DraftKings is one of the best New Jersey sports betting apps available. You can read our full review of the DraftKings NJ sportsbook app here: DraftKings NJ app

Introduced in 2019, this Australian book introduced a different dynamic to sports bettors in the Garden State in the shape of PointsBetting. While not for everyone and a million miles away from fixed-odds betting, it grabs our attention in that any potential winnings or losses are variable right until the end of the game. The more you’re right, the more you win (the more you’re wrong, the more you lose also applies, of course).
Not for you? Well, there’s still plenty to keep fixed-odds bettors interested, all available through the traditional left-hand menu and featuring all the markets you’d expect. Another thing that makes PointsBet stand out from several competitors are their exclusive sports betting markets for the NFL and NBA. Did you know you can bet on ‘Quarterback Completion %’ and ‘Time of first basket by player’? – to name but two of these more exotic markets.
They certainly pack in plenty into what is a big file for their app, including #Nameabet, allowing users to custom build a bet and a very healthy dose of promos. Their ‘In-Play’ section lacks the live visuals that enhance the betting experience at some competitors, such as 888sport. What’s more, the Android app doesn’t support (as of July 2019) the Face ID and Touch ID to be found in the iOS version.

This was the seventh sports betting app to go live in NJ – we have quickly fallen for their mobile interface, which is super-clean and easy to navigate. That’s just typical of any Sportsbook that uses Kambi software. As you’d expect, all major US leagues are available along with MLS, UFC/MMA, tennis, and Nascar. European sports are also very well catered for, and we found an incredible 3547 markets listed for the English Premier League, for example. So you are covered for those sports bets!
Their Live Betting option packs a pretty big punch too, and it’s easy to add selections to your bet slip and get on quickly – the essence of making a profit from in-play betting. Here you will also find a scoreboard of current live games, and by clicking on any game, a handy visual appears showing game stats and much more.
While there are links to 888casino and 888poker, these take you through to the mobile site, from where you can download separate apps. Be far better to integrate all three products into one app for convenience’s sake.

Sports bettors won’t go far wrong with the above NJ Sportsbook Apps, but in what is a burgeoning market, there are plenty of others to choose from, and they are listed below. All are licensed and DGE regulated – so 100% legal and safe – and are downloadable for Android & iOS.
We’re big fans of this app – you can read our full review here – and you can download it and register from anywhere in the US, albeit you need to be within state borders to start betting. That’s a pleasure as the interface is user-friendly, highly responsive, and you won’t lack for sports betting options. You can also switch between the online casino and sports betting app very simply. What’s neat, though, is that you can directly access the SugarHouse Casino, which houses 450+ games and you can play (sports and all) from the same account. SugarHouse also excels in the deposit side of things, offering a market-leading amount of options to deposit those funds.

Hailing from the UK and already one of the biggest operators in the world, it’s safe to say William Hill have quickly established themselves in the Garden State, which is no mean feat given the quality of the opposition. This betting app focuses heavily on being able to bet while a game is going on, so it can compete with other betting apps that do this very well. There are still some cons associated with their sportsbook app – you can read all about them here in our full review – and their banking options leave something to be desired too, but the pros far outweigh these, in our opinion. They are making waves in the New Jersey sports betting apps world.

Like DraftKings, FanDuel built on its already impressive fantasy sports platform to launch the FanDuel sportsbook betting app considered by many people to be the best of the bunch so far – we’re certainly in that camp and can read why here.

The world-renowned Las Vegas casino opened for online sports betting in the Garden State just in time for NFL kick off in the fall of 2018, rolling its new sportsbook platform into the existing Caesars NJ online casino app. Now available for iOS, Android as well as browsers, bettors will find a full menu of sports wagers, and there’s a $10 free bet (no deposit required) to get you started.

Very raw when first launched in August 2018 – perhaps “rushed” is a better description? – it has certainly come a long way since, and the latest updates get our approval and make it a reliable option. Re-launched late 2019 as the BetMGM Sportsbook app (previously called the PlayMGM app), this new app is fantastic. Feature-packed and has excellent betting options. You can read our full BetMGM app NJ review here.

FOX Bet Sportsbook App
The current FOX Bet app rocks in our opinion – read our full review here – and any upgrade on this would be very exciting indeed – we can expect the addition of some free-to-play games at the very least.
bet365 Sportsbook App
Launched in 2019, just in time for the start of the new NFL season for Android devices and the iPhone.Featuring a slick, feature-packed, and easy-to-navigate app, offering plenty of markets across a variety of sports. And their Live Streaming – they claim to show over 140,000 live events each year – is definitely been worth waiting for. Read the full bet365 New Jersey app
There are 16 sports betting apps now available in New Jersey. They are DraftKings, William Hill, PointsBet, FOX Bet, FanDuel, SugarHouse, 888, playMGM, BetAmerica, theScore, Borgata, Golden Nugget, Hard Rock, Resorts, Caesars, and bet365. But which one is the best? We look at which betting apps offer the best sports betting options, the best deposit and withdrawal options, and the best user experience.
Following the repeal of PASPA in May 2018, which ensured New Jersey became the first state to allow online casino and sports betting, the race was on to make sports betting legal in the state of New Jersey. Now, over a year later, sports bettors have never had it so good. You can see out pick below of the best NJ sportsbook apps, in rank order below. We have tried, tested, and reviewed these apps and think these are the best available NJ sports betting apps.
There are Android, iPhone & iPad apps for all the books & operators, as well as a dedicated mobile site. If you have not downloaded a betting app before, our detailed guides & reviews will even help show you have to download them too!
Once Governor Phil Murphy had put his signature to a bill in June 2018, sports betting became legal in the Garden State – both at casinos and racetracks, as well as online – licensed operators moved quickly to fill the void.
Monmouth Park was the first location to accept bets, while Atlantic City’s Borgata also began taking bets on the opening day. Other tracks and casinos quickly followed suit, but it was the likes of DraftKings and FanDuel that won the race to launch mobile betting from the off.
Finding a reliable Sportsbook app to place your wager with is not as straightforward as it sounds. The best sports betting app for you will depend on factors such as what sports you bet on and what device you use. There is a lot of rogue and unregulated bookmakers out there. All the ones listed on our site are fully licensed and regulated by New Jerseys own Division of Gaming Enforcement (DGE) to operate legally within the state. They have been through rigorous testing to make sure they work correctly. It is always important to gamble and bet safely & securely when online. All of the gambling and Sportsbook apps listed have been tried & tested on mobile, Android & iOS devices.
We test and rate each of the apps listed using several criteria. While every Sportsbook will have its advantages and disadvantages, some are better than others. There are lots of things we look for when testing an app. First, it needs to be easy to use and accessible to all bettors. We look for a quality design, speed, reliability, and features. What sports are available to bet on? Are the lines good? Does the operator look after players? There is no point in having an app for placing bets if it consistently lags and crashes. Likewise, if the design is terrible and it is difficult to place a wager, then that’s no good either. We love user-friendly, easy to use, fast apps.
Thanks to the new rulings and the wide availability to now bet across New Jersey using your mobile, you don’t have to make your way to the casino whenever you want to gamble. Just flip out your mobile, launch your app and place your bets. You can be anywhere in the state borders and have a gamble. Online wagering in the Garden State is so popular, over 90% of all money gambled has been done online and on mobile apps.
In this day and age, we want to do more than just lay straight bets. Good sports betting app will offer a multitude of bet types, including;
Straight bets, Parlay, Prop Bets, Round Robins, Spread, Over-Under, Moneyline, Futures, and others.
You can bet on sports either in person or online in New Jersey. You must be located within the state when you bet. You cannot open apps or make deposits if you’re not in New Jersey when you try to do so. All sites and apps use geolocation services to determine your exact location with GPS (a VPN won’t work). You don’t have to live in New Jersey to bet; you just have to be there when placing your wager.
The same applies to withdrawals and depositing funds. So if you win a bet you placed while in New Jersey and want to withdraw those funds from a different state, you’ll have to go back to NJ to access the app and withdraw to your bank account. There is hope that betting will eventually be allowed across state lines, especially online sports betting, but this hasn’t happened yet.
As technology has improved, so have our wagering and betting options. It is now possible to have a wager on a massive range of sports, not just from the US but all over the globe. Some of the most popular sports for bettors to wager on using their mobile are;
Baseball, Basketball, Football, Hockey, MMA, Golf, Boxing, Cricket, Cycling, Darts, Motorsports, Rugby Union, Soccer, and Tennis.
Not every app and Sportsbook covers the same sports. Some may leave out UFC or Baseball but offer more coverage on Football and Soccer. It is always essential to check not only what sports are offered, but also what markets are available on those sports too.
This new range of online sports betting apps has a whole host of features, some unique to the operator. These include
Cash Out, In-Play or In-Game wagering, Odds Boosts, Built-in Casinos, and Rewards Programs to name a few
You will probably find that lines and pricing are better on an app or online than at a physical Sportsbooks located in casinos or race tracks. Overheads are a lot lower, and mobile wagering will be a lot more popular and more accessible now too.
The online sports betting and casino world is rife with competition. Every operator wants you to join them over a competitor, so they offer up different, lucrative welcome bonuses. These can be free bets, matched deposit bonuses, free plays, and more. You can join as many books as you like. Once signed up, the perks don’t stop there. There are regular offers, price boosts, promotions, and VIP programs with most of the operators too. Then you decide which betting app best suits you.
Yes! We only list betting apps for New Jersey that have been regulated and approved by the DGE. Unlike offshore sites, all of the operators on Gamble USA are completely legal and secure. They are regulated by The Division of Gaming Enforcement. If you don’t know who they are, they are the body that regulates all the brick and mortar casinos in Atlantic City. All of the operators listed are either in partnership with or managed by an Atlantic City casino; so you are safe and legal to go ahead and use your online sportsbook of choice.
As long as you are aged 21 or over and located in the Garden State borders, you can use any of these apps listed above and start betting.
You will need to allow location settings on your phone or tablet. This will allow geo fencing & locating software to know where you are and check you are in state lines.
Some NJ Sports betting apps do offer a first deposit bonus. These include: DraftKings, FanDuel, SugarHouse, 888, and FOXBet.
Yes you can! All of the NJ sportsbooks offer an Android platform, with some offering website, iOS and android betting options.

Yes you can. You can get the betting apps and even register anywhere in the US. You can look at the score, lines, games, sports available, but, you can only wager inside legal state lines.
