BetMGM Online Casino Now Live in PA

BetMGM Online Casino is now officially live and running in Pennsylvania
After around three days of rigorous testing, BetMGM online casino platform is now live in Pennsylvania, which means the Keystone State now has 13 PA online casinos available for players. Adam Greenblatt, chief executive officer of BetMGM, said the company is “thrilled” to go live in Pennsylvania. He said that as they are offering “more than 140 different games,” the brand is able to deliver “the widest range of content available in the state.” Greenblatt also confirmed that MGM Resorts and its M Life Rewards program would be available for Pennsylvania bettors.
The testing period for BetMGM’s online casino began last Tuesday (1st December) and ended a few days later. When players visit the BetMGM online casino, they will have access to blackjack, roulette, video poker, slot tournaments, and progressive jackpots exclusive to Pennsylvania. Live dealer PA games should be available later on the platform.
Pennsylvania has an established online gambling industry, and other states such as New Jersey, West Virginia, and Delaware also have a legal online casino market. Additionally, Nevada and all of those four states have legal online poker games for players who enjoy the classic card-based game.
BetMGM Offers Sports Betting
It is not just in the online casino world where BetMGM is hoping to be successful. The brand is preparing to be a big-name in the Pennsylvania sports betting market. Sports betting has proven to be fruitful in Pennsylvania, with a total handle of $525 million in October, which was the third-highest among states.
BetMGM Sportsbook revealed in November that they agreed to a partnership with the Pittsburgh Steelers; the company now has six such agreements in place with NFL teams. The teams in question are the Denver Broncos, New York Jets, The Steelers, Las Vegas Raiders, and Tennessee Titans.
There has been no official confirmation on when BetMGM will launch its online sportsbook in Pennsylvania, but the Steelers issued a press release which stated it should go live before the end of 2020. BetMGM also has partnerships in place with the Detroit Red Wings and the Las Vegas Golden Knights from the NHL, as well as the WNBA’s Las Vegas Aces.
BetMGM’s Path to Pennsylvania
In an October meeting, the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board issued two operator licenses for BetMGM. One was for interactive gaming and the other for sports betting. In order to utilize the sports betting license, BetMGM were required to partner with a land-based casino.
The brand struck up an agreement with Hollywood Casino, who have their own Hollywood online casino available for players in PA as well.
