BetMGM Agrees to Content Deal with Bill Burr & All Things Comedy
The BetMGM sportsbook is venturing outside of the sports betting market to increase its exposure. The popular online casino and sportsbook have announced a deal with comedian Bill Burr and All Things Comedy in what is being described as a content partnership. Burr is one of the most popular stand-up comedians in the US and his love of sport should be a great fit for the brand.
As part of the deal, BetMGM’s sportsbook data and promotional offers will be included in the All Things Comedy podcast network. The network comprises Burr’s “Monday Morning Podcast” and YouTube channel in addition to “Anything Better” by Bill Burr and Paul Virzi.
Burr talked up the deal and how it will increase the presence of both BetMGM and the podcast network. Burr said, “You gotta have some juice on the game,” adding that if you are not doing that, you are on the sidelines and may not be noticed.
Burr is a household name in the comedy world and has achieved success in film and TV; and is a highly regarded comedian, with his stand-up routines proving popular. In September 2019, Burr released his sixth hour-long comedy special, “Bill Burr: Paper Tiger.” The special went down well with fans and was nominated for a Grammy Award.
Matt Prevost, BetMGM Chief Revenue Officer, described said that Burr has “one of the funniest, most distinctive and outspoken voices in comedy.” Prevost added that they are excited to see BetMGM content incorporated into the podcast and other social channels. Burr, a Boston native is a huge Patriots fan and is sure to stoke up some entertainment off the field around the Patriots and other football teams.
Other BetMGM Audio Partnerships
This isn’t the first time BetMGM has explored the possibility of a content partnership. In May, the market-leading gambling brand revealed they had agreed to a multi-year deal with Audacy. This meant BetMGM was named a sports betting partner across Audcay’s broadcast stations, including the Audacy apps and digital platforms.
Additionally, the deal includes customer acquisition opportunities and talent endorsements across Audacy’s national sports content, in addition to integrated content across Audacy’s broadcast sports stations.
