BetRivers sportsbook goes live in West Virginia
Rush Street Interactive revealed on Tuesday that its BetRivers Sportsbook would be available in addition to its existing online casino in West Virginia.
Effect on West Virginia Market
When it officially goes live, players in the Mountain State aged 21 or over who take part in West Virginia online sports wagering can bet on the BetRivers app which is available on Android and iOS platforms, as well as on the regular website.
Rush Street Interactive has also stated that both platforms would have a shared online wallet. BetRivers says that the product launching in West Virginia “offers customers a wide breadth and scope of betting markets,” which cover numerous sports leagues. The company says the sportsbook provides an “intuitive, innovative user interface, live-streamed sports events, and popular bet types like single-game parlays and instant bets.”
BetRivers Background
BetRivers Casino has one of the best loyalty programs around with an integrated Refer a Friend program, Bonus Bank and Bonus Store.
With the Refer a Friend system, customers receive a scratch card with a guaranteed payout of $50 to $500 when your friend registers with the site and places a bet. Last April, BetRivers was ranked the fourth-best mobile sports betting app among 41 competitors in the US by a gaming firm called Eilers & Krejcik.
Richard Schwartz, Chief Executive Officer of RSI, said they “expect our BetRivers sportsbook app to be well received” as many residents in West Virginia have grown to trust and appreciate their “high-quality products and responsive customer service.” Schwartz added they are pleased the integrated app will provide a convenient location for users to “switch effortlessly between the casino and sportsbook” using computers, phones, and tablets.
After launching in April 2021, the online casino has seen a share “in the low teens” of West Virginia’s online casino market share, per estimates by the West Virginia Lottery Commission and Rush Street Interactive.
As with the online casino platform, the land-based partner for the online and mobile sportsbook will be via partnerships with Mountaineer Casino, Racetrack & Resort.
