Caesars Sportsbook now live at three Washington casinos
Caesars Sportsbook Launches in Washington State
Caesars Sportsbook is extending its footprint across Washington after it obtained a sports betting license from the Washington State Gambling Commission.
Caesars Strikes Deal with Muckleshoot Casino
Caesars Sportsbook has joined forces with the Spokane Tribe, Muckleshoot Casino, and its sister property, Chewelah Casino, to provide in-person sports wagering at each property. The agreement allows Caesars to reach both the eastern and western parts of the state. Each casino will have a full Caesars Sportsbook location and will feature self-service betting kiosks.
Eric Hession, Co-President of Caesars Digital, said that teaming up with three “tremendous casinos” to extend their presence in Washington is a “big moment for Caesars Sportsbook.” Hession said they are thrilled to offer sports bettors in Washington the chance to get in on the action before Super Bowl LVI, and they are excited to see how fans from Seattle-Tacoma to Spokane bet on their favorite teams.
The Spokane Tribe Casino will launch a Caesars Sportsbook location inside the casino, while Chewelah Casino will offer their customers sports wagering via self-service kiosk technology inside the property.
Muckleshoot Casino is the biggest gaming facility in the Pacific Northwest and features four live betting windows and nine self-service betting kiosks. Caesars also intends to offer on-property mobile betting via the Caesars app, subject to Washington state regulations.
Washington Sports Betting Market
Washington’s sports betting market went live on September 9, just before the first game of the 2021-22 NFL regular-season between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Dallas Cowboys. The Snoqualmie Casino Sportsbook was the first tribal casino to begin accepting wagers.
Stanford Le, Snoqualmie Casino Chief Executive Officer, said that Snoqualmie Casino is thrilled to offer their customers “new types of gaming experiences.” The Snoqualmie Casino is the closest casino to Seattle.
Washington currently only allows retail sports wagering on tribal lands. There is no online gambling market available in the state. Washington passed a sports betting law in 2020, permitting betting on professional, collegiate, international, and Olympic sports. Players are restricted from betting on in-state college teams, meaning residents cannot bet on teams like Gonzaga, Washington, or Washington State.
