Operator bet365 have struck a deal with Century Casinos to launch their online sportsbook in Colorado

UK based gambling operator bet365 has formally agreed on a ten-year partnership with Century Casinos to become one of their internet sportsbook operators. bet365 will become the second internet sportsbook for Century Casino, with one space left for them to get a third operator onboard. Through a subsidiary, Century Casino had already been granted its master license with the State of Colorado, which allows them to make deals with three different online sportsbooks.

bet365 and Century Casinos agreed on the ten-year partnership, which includes a minimum annual guarantee of revenue that will be given to the casino as well as a percentage of income from the total yearly sum of net wagers taken by the bet365 online website.

bet365 will send over a payment fee in advance, which will be handed to the casino when the final contracts have been signed, and the sports betting company has been fully licensed to do business in Colorado. bet365’s mobile sportsbook is currently going through the application process to become a licensed sports betting operator in the Centennial State.

All of the steps to gain approval will need to bet met before the contract with the casino can be finalized. Once everything is approved, bet365 becomes a fully-fledged internet sports betting platform with Century Casino. Colorado will become the second state bet365 has a presence in, following its introduction to the New Jersey betting scene in 2018. It has since not expanded into any other state. The European giant did have plans to get things going in New York; however, nothing much is happening there, to it is likely to launch in Colorado before New York.

The betting scene in Colorado is showing signs of taking off. As well as the six operators that are currently live, others have been granted a license. These include BetAmerica, Betfred, Circa Sports, Superbook, PointsBet, Wynn, theScore Bet, William Hill, Barstool Sports (Penn National), SBK (Smarkets), ISI, Digital Gaming Corporation, and the Carousel Group. However, they are still waiting for official confirmation before they can launch.

There are numerous licenses up for grabs, which means residents of Colorado and those in neighboring states will have several betting options. Of course, everything is currently on pause due to the Coronavirus pandemic, but everything is in place to ramp up once sport returns.

Operators Quick to Launch in Colorado

Since Colorado passed a law to legalize sports betting on May 1, six operators are already up and running in the state. Betting events have been sparse due to the COVID-19 outbreak, but companies continue to build partnerships to obtain licenses in the Rocky Mountain State.

Fox Bet became the most recent addition to Colorado, going live on May 19 through its license with Isle Black Hawk and Lady Luck Casinos. The first companies to go live were BetRivers, DraftKings, FanDuel, and BetMGM. Both FanDuel and Draftkings partnered with the Twin River properties in Black Rock. FanDuel and DraftKings, in particular, now have a presence in numerous states. FanDuel operates in five states, while DraftKings is live in seven states.
