DraftKings Casino App Goes Live in Pennsylvania
DraftKings Casino launches a new stand-alone app in Pennsylvania
Sportsbook giant DraftKings, most commonly known for its Daily Fantasy Sports (DFS), has launched its mobile casino app in Pennsylvania. The Keystone State becomes the second state in which the app will be made available, following its successful launch in New Jersey last month. The app will be packed full of features, including DraftKings-branded games as well as games from well-known software providers. It allows iGaming fans in Pennsylvania to experience a top-quality gaming platform in the form of a DraftKings casino app.
The app will mirror the one that is already live in New Jersey. It will feature new games that are exclusive to DraftKings, as well as reimagined classic titles, including traditional games such as blackjack and roulette. The DraftKings casino platform was made available to residents of Pennsylvania earlier this year through its integration in the DraftKings Sportsbook app.
Sportsbooks Come Through as Casinos Shut
Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, Atlantic City casinos were forced to shut their doors in June. Consequently, online sportsbooks became the focal point to generate revenue for the state. The FanDuel and PointsBet sportsbooks dominated the market with $6.2 million in gross revenue, which was up from $4.3 million in May.
The other sportsbooks to contribute were Resorts Digital, Fox Bet, and DraftKings, which combined to provide $3.9 million, up from $3.8 million in May.
DraftKings has carried out several studies and surveys and discovered 70% of new DraftKings Casino customers place their first wagers on DraftKings-branded games. The company believes this proves that players want a modern customer experience, with suitable games and an intuitive user interface.
DraftKings app to launch in more States?
As more states legalize online gambling, DraftKings will be looking to capitalize by launching its casino app across the country. The operator hopes that because the new app has games that have been provided by well-known third-party software providers, customers will be encouraged to try them out as they have a fantastic reputation in the iGaming world.
DraftKings will also have a live dealer section available on the app, which will allow players the chance to experience the thrill of a live casino floor from the comfort of their own home. This will also be available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
DraftKings is known in the United States for its Daily Fantasy Sports and sports betting options. The company is behind sports and gaming entertainment for 50+ operators in more than 15 regulated U.S. and global markets.
The DraftKings sportsbook offers numerous wagering options for all of the major US sports, including football, basketball, and baseball. It currently operates in several states, per their laws and regulations. These states include Colorado, Indiana, Iowa, Mississippi, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia.
The operator hopes that following the massive success of its sports betting platforms, it can have similar success with casino gambling.
