You can register with FanDuel from anywhere in the US and see all the markets, scores, and lines, but you can only bet within NJ, PA, WV, IN, CO, IL, TN, IA, VA & MI borders, and if you are aged 21 and over. It is quick and straightforward to join the sportsbook, and you can be backing your favorite team in no time. Go to www.sportsbook.fanduel.com and hit the Join, then Sportsbook button. You can download the app from anywhere in the US, and also register, but you can only bet in one of the regulated states. You don’t need to be a resident in a legalized state, just be in the boundaries to place a wager. Looking to bet on the Super Bowl? Then FanDuel NJ has got your back!
FanDuel Sportsbook Mobile app
Below you can see our quick guide to download the FanDuel sportsbook app onto your Android mobile, or iPhone. There is also an awesome mobile site for bettors to use, too, if you don’t want an app installed.
Downloading the FanDuel Sportsbook Android app
To get the app for Android, go to www.sportsbook.fanduel.com and use the Join Now option. Make a player account if you don’t have one already. Then on the promos tab, click Mobile & then Download for Android. On the popup box, say OK to keep the FanduelSports.apk. Let the file download & then click Install. Open the app and proceed to log in and place your wagers.
Please Note: As it stands, the Google Play Store will not allow any type of real wagering or gambling apps to be in there in the US. This means you need to download the FanDuel Sportsbook APK direct from the operator; this is the case in New Jersey, Indiana, Colorado, Virginia, Tennessee, Michigan, West Virginia, and also Pennsylvania. This is a perfectly safe and normal procedure to get an app outside of the Play Store. Google will probably allow the app in the store in the future, but for now, this is the correct and official way to get it on your device.
Downloading the FanDuel Sportsbook iPhone app
Head over to www.sportsbook.fanduel.com and use the Join Now button to Make your playing account. You can then select mobile from the main menu. Use the Download for iPhone option to go to the iTunes app store and press GET to install the app. Log in and browse the markets, place your wager.
You will need to allow location services on your mobile or tablet. As the app is only legal in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Colorado, Tennessee, Virginia, and Indiana, you need to show that you are within state borders. This is done by intelligent Geolocating software that picks up your location and pinpoints you in the State. It works pretty seamlessly, and you don’t need to do anything else. The FanDuel sportsbook app for Pennsylvania launched in November 2019 and in October 2019 for West Virginia and Indiana bettors.
If you don’t use an iPhone or an Android device such as a Samsung, Huawei, or Sony, then don’t panic, FanDuel also has a fully functioning mobile site at www.sportsbook.fanduel.com where you can wager from your device’s browser. Functionality is the same as the app, but the downloaded version comes with some befits like quick login (Face & Touch ID on iOS) and instant notifications. The site is accessible on all modern cells and tablets.
If you have issues with the app, you can see out guide on what to do when the FanDuel sportsbook app is not working for help to get you back betting.

Winnings will need to be reported to the IRS in certain situations. such as if a bet pays out $600.00 or more of net winnings at odds of 300 to 1 or greater.

Features
We have always loved the clean and easy to use design of the DFS FanDuel app. We are pleased to say, much of the styling has been carried over into the Sportsbook. The app has been available to CO, WV, NJ, IL, PA, TN & IN bettors for almost 12 months, and while the design is very similar to launch, the lagging issues and slow to load pages have all been fixed. It is not easy to transition a full online Sportsbook into a mobile app interface, but FanDuel has executed this perfectly. It just works. It is quick, stylish, and reliable. The Android sportsbook app and iPhone app are identical in terms of looks and function, so don’t panic; you are not missing out on any features.
Looks-wise, we are impressed. The design is so clean and uncluttered. New bettors or experienced punters will love the simple layout and how easy it is to navigate around. There are two menus on the app, one at the top of the screen to show LIVE wagering opportunities, Promos, then the most popular sports which are MLB, NFL, Tennis, Soccer, Odds Boost & PGA. Located in the bottom menu is the full A-Z of Sports, Betslip access, Casino (Betfair access), and Account. Within the A-Z, you will also find a handy Betting guide, T&C’s, Support, and Responsible gambling info. If you are new to sports betting, check out the Betting Guide first to give you a heads up on how to bet, what to look for, and some handy betting hacks.
What sets the app apart from the competition? Well, there are a lot of things we love with this online book. Like any good bookmaker that wants to keep you betting, they need to have a range of features to enhance your wagering experience. Cash Out is one such tool and is available on the app. This feature allows you to settle a bet before the game ends to either lock in winnings or cut your losses. When using FanDuel Cash Out, the ball is in your court.
In-Game wagering is becoming popular with bettors now, and of course, it is available on the FanDuel. You will find that the Vig is usually higher for in-game bets, but to be fair, this is the case for all books. There is a good range of in-play/in-game props available like the next touchdown scorer, alternate totals, and parlays. Fans of betting on soccer won’t be disappointing with the inaction betting either as you will find markets on the final score, leader at each half, goals scored, and several others available to bet on. The In-Game wagering is one of the best we have seen with any regulated Sportsbook. It is fast to update and very easy to place your bet.

In-Game screen, Sports A-Z, and Promotions tab
The Odds Boost option is located within the top menu and the place to head to see boosts for the big games happening. Boosts can happen across the majority of sports and are worth having a glance at to see if you want to back anything. Parlay Insurance is also available with some bets so you can bet and not lose everything should your bet not land.
FanDuel lines and odds update very quickly, as do scores when using the app. Placing your wager is easy to do too. Just find the market you want to bet on and tap the odds box to add it to your bet slip. Add in your stake and press Place Bets button, and you’re done. Keep track of all your wagers in the account section. Here you can update your details as well as seeing your full bet history. FanDuel Sportsbook was well priced for the Super Bowl odds, just a shame you can’t yet access them in the Hard Rock Stadium (yet).
Which states is FanDuel Sportsbook available in?

What could be improved on the app?
On the Sportsbook side of the FanDuel Android & iPhone app, there is not a huge amount that can be improved. We love the design, simplicity, and ease of how to use it, but we would love to see visuals on games. A little live ticket and graphic to show what is happening, similar to betting apps they get over the pond in Europe………It will be here one day. We would like to see more markets offered up in the future, and our major gripe, with all regulated US Sportsbooks, is the lack of live streaming.
Yes, this is a big issue that will one day be addressed, but big media companies handle the live streaming of sports, it may be a long time before it’s available. FanDuel listened to players and actually added this streaming feature back in March which is an insane bonus.
Our major gripe was the lack of casino access. You had to use the sister company Betfair if you wanted to play any games. Well, this has now changed and FanDuel casino now has its own standalone app. The casino is now Available in New Jersey, Michigan, as well as Pennsylvania. We have used it and it is very good. It is a much better and safer alternative to offshore operators like Bovada.
Support
FanDuel has always had an excellent reputation for looking after players and customers, and the Sportsbook side is no different. You can reach them 24/7, 365 days a year. You will find them on the mobile site and app in the A-Z menu, or the dedicated support tab on the regular website. There is a set of FAQs that will answer most questions, but also a live chat, email facility (sportsbook@fanduel.com), and of course, over the phone.
Banking Options
FanDuel holds an advantage over new regulated operators in the US in that they have been taking payments for their DFS platform for years. FanDuel deposit options are pretty standard and they have lots of ways to deposit with the sportsbook. It is simple and secure to make deposits and payouts are done in a timely manner.
