Fubo Sportsbook goes live in Iowa
Fubo Sportsbook Arrives in Iowa
The Fubo sportsbook is officially live in the Iowa sports betting market. Fubo Gaming announced its sports betting site launched on Wednesday afternoon. This means bettors in the Hawkeye State who are 21 years and older can bet on thousands of professional and college sporting events by using the Fubo Sportsbook mobile app. The Fubo app is integrated into fuboTV’s live TV streaming platform and will provide a unique sportsbook experience to customers.
Scott Butera, president of Fubo Gaming, said they are “thrilled to launch Fubo Sportsbook” in Iowa, stating that they will bring “a next-level interactive viewing and betting experience” to bettors. Butera added that as the industry continues to expand, “it is increasingly important to meet sports fans’ growing demand” for interactive and immersive experiences. Fubo aims to achieve that goal by integrating the betting site with fuboTV.
Unique Betting Experience
The Fubo Sportsbook is attempting to present a unique betting experience to players by integrating a sports betting platform with a live TV streaming experience.
Fubo Facebook is going live with the Watching Now feature, giving fuboTV’s first-party user data to allow users to immediately view betting content based on what they are streaming, even when they change the channel. Fubo Gaming will release additional features in the app with the aim of developing a more immersive and personalized experience.
David Gandler, co-founder and CEO of fuboTV, said their vision is to “define a new category of interactive sports and entertainment television.” Gandler stated that with the launch of the Fubo sportsbook, that vision had taken a significant step forward. Gandler added that this is a “pivotal moment” for FuboTV and the US sports betting and entertainment industries, as it is the first time the two are combining “in one ecosystem.”
Fubo Secure Market Access through a deal with Casino
The Fubo brand secured Iowa market access through a parentship with Casino Queen. The deal permitted Fubo to launch mobile and retail sports betting operations in the state.
Additionally, Fubo Gaming also has market access agreements in New Jersey and Indiana through Caesars Entertainment, Pennsylvania via The Cordish Companies, and Arizona through a deal with the Ak-Chin Indiana Community.
Fubo expects to confirm the launch of its sportsbook in more markets this year and in 2022, pending regulatory approvals. The gaming and entertainment company has signed deals with the Cleveland Cavaliers and the New York Jets, and a deal with NASCAR. It has also been named as an authorized gaming operator with the NBA.
