Houston Texans at Baltimore Ravens Betting Preview

Free NFL Pick - Houston Texans vs Baltimore Ravens

The NFL has been filled with nothing but excitement in the last couple of weeks, and we are painting ourselves a picture of the playoffs.

Game time: Sunday, November 17th @ 1:00pm

Last weekend, we saw the Baltimore Ravens stomp out their division rival in Cincinnati, putting up 49 points while doing it. Lamar Jackson had one of the top plays of the entire season and is looking at making a run at MVP.

He will be tested this coming weekend, as another potential MVP candidate comes to town with the Houston Texans. Deshaun Watson is proving why he is one of the top quarterbacks in the league, and all eyes will be on this game.

Let’s breakdown the matchup between these two powerhouses and help you determine your best bets.

Watson Ready To Carry His Team

The Texans had unfortunate news recently. JJ Watt is now sidelined for the year, as their defense lost its biggest star.

In their last game, Houston completely shut down Jacksonville in London and was able to take a firm lead in the AFC South. Watson looked incredible, and he is making everyone better on offense.

One other bright spot is Carlos Hyde. Hyde was cut by Jacksonville this past offseason, and after losing Lamar Miller in the preseason, the Texans rolled the dice on the veteran.
Hyde has surpassed expectations and then some, putting together multiple games with over 100 yards rushing and looking like a star in the backfield next to Watson.

This team is on top of the AFC South, and they are the favorites to get the coveted playoff spot they are looking for. Houston’s season started a little bit shaky, but after the bye week, it is time for the Texans to live up to expectations.

A Perfect System For A Perfect Quarterback

We can all agree that the Cincinnati Bengals are the worst team in the NFL (shoutout to Miami for its two-game winning streak), but Lamar Jackson absolutely dismantled everything the Bengals thought they were on Sunday.

Jackson finished the game with four total touchdowns and over 270 yards from scrimmage. He made the play of the season on a 47-yard touchdown run, spinning on three Bengals defenders, with Kevin Harlan calling him “Houdini.”

With another perfect passer rating under his belt, Jackson might be just what the Ravens need to make a trip to Super Bowl Sunday.

His defense has not yet proved itself to be what we have come to expect from Baltimore, but they did get two defensive touchdowns against Cincinnati.

Mark Ingram has been the pickup of the year. The Ravens took him from New Orleans, and he has been every bit as threatening as any top running back in the NFL this season. His game has evolved with Jackson at the helm, and he is one of many weapons at their disposal.

This Ravens team is built to give Jackson success. He is one of the leading candidates to take the MVP award, and everything is moving in the right direction.

Betting Preview

This game is going to be close no matter what, and the spread reflects that, with Baltimore favored at home at -4.

I think on a neutral field, Vegas would have this game as a pick ‘em with how evenly matched these two teams are.

I really love what both quarterbacks are doing for their teams, but Jackson is electrifying to watch. At any given point, he could break out for a 50-yard run, and that is why I am taking the Ravens in this game. Make sure to lock in your bets before kickoff!
