PointsBet Kroenke Sports deal
PointsBet has joined forces with sports giant Kroenke Sports & Entertainment
Giant sportsbook operator PointsBet and Kroenke Sports & Entertainment, LLC, have announced they have agreed on a new, multi-year partnership in what is a landmark moment in the betting and sports industry. The deal will see PointsBet become the official and exclusive partner of the NBA’s Denver Nuggets, the NHL’s Colorado Avalanche, and Colorado Mammoth of the National Lacrosse League. PointsBet is also now an official partner of the home arena for all three teams, the Pepsi Center.
The agreement covers all major gaming categories, including daily fantasy, retail and online sports betting, online casino, and free-to-play betting games. The deal also means PointsBet will receive an excellent level of exposure on the airwaves. The Australian-based operator has also been named the official sports betting partner of KSE’s Altitude TV and Altitude Sports Radio. Both platforms will feature PointsBet data integration.
Arena Naming Rights Included in Deal
As part of this multi-year agreement, PointsBet will be given naming rights at the Pepsi Center in time for the 2020-21 seasons. Three specific areas of the arena will be featured, which are the PointsBet Sports Bar and the PointsBet Premium Club.
The club level at the Pepsi Center will also go through a rebrand for the 2020-21 season and will be re-named the “PointsBet Club Level.” This new and improved section will feature signage from the sportsbook, brand placings dotted around, and more. On gamedays, viewers will see prominent PointsBet branding and signage, including on the ice during Avalanche games and on the stanchions when the Nuggets are in action.
KSE Mobile App Available Soon
The partnership will be strengthened with the release of the KSE mobile app. The app has been designed to improve the experience of planning and attending an event at the Pepsi Center. When the app gets the green light to launch, PointsBet will be the app’s title sponsor and will feature heavily on social media posts, digital media marketing, and push notifications.
Push notifications specific to PointsBet and a digital presence of the sportsbook operator will also be featured in the dedicated apps of the Nuggets, Avalanche, and Mammoth. PointsBet has stated that they will be working closely with the Nuggets and Avalanche to improve fan engagement levels. They also want to boost the fan experience via alumni appearances and events.
The PointsBet app is not currently available in Colorado. However, the company plans to launch its sports wagering app for bettors in the Centennial State. Interested players can participate in the company’s free-to-play challenge, the PointsBet Pick 6. The idea behind this game is that it allows sports fans across the country to experience PointsBet’s technology and service, plus you get the chance to win $25,000 every week.
PointsBet has taken a particular interest in Colorado, where sports betting has got off to a great start. The company has recently begun on the construction of its new US headquarters, located in downtown Denver. PointsBet will also have a retail presence at Double Eagle Hotel & Casino in Cripple Creek, CO.
