Last month, PointsBet was awarded an internet sports betting and interactive gaming operator license in the Keystone State before soft launching its sportsbook on Tuesday.

PointsBet USA CEO Johnny Aitken said in January that they were excited to be “inching closer to officially offering PointsBet’s” services to sports fans and bettors in Pennsylvania. Aitken confirmed they have a partnership in Pennsylvania with Penn National Gaming.
Aitken added that because Pennsylvania ranks in the top five sports betting states in the nation, the company is “thrilled to be able to soon establish its presence in this lucrative market.” Additionally, Aitken was keen to thank the state of Pennsylvania and the Gaming Control Board for their support. Aitken said that they will be providing bettors in Pennsylvania a “best-in-class sports betting and online casino experience.”
PointsBet will Utilize NBC Partnership
PointsBet will utilize its partnership with NBC Sports to market and promote its sports wagering brand in Pennsylvania. NBC Sports provides PointsBet with year-round marketing opportunities and multi-platform media across its portfolio of events. These events include multi-platform gameday integrations across NBC Sports Philadelphia, which is home to the 76ers, Flyers, and Phillies.
PointsBet USA Chief Marketing Officer Kyle Christensen described Philadelphia as a “key asset in the NBC Sports portfolio.” He added that it would play a “vital role in our ability to reach new customers” and promote their brand in this new market. Christensen said that they are excited to demonstrate to fans and sports bettors in Pennsylvania “exactly what sets the brand apart among the rest.”
Pennsylvania is the 10th state offering the PointsBet online sportsbook. The operator is also live in New Jersey, New York, West Virginia, Virginia, Iowa, Colorado, Indiana, Illinois, and Michigan.
