Scientific Games Strengthen Partnership with Caesars Entertainment
Caesars Entertainment has expanded their online gaming partnership with provider Scientific Games
As the online gambling industry continues to move in an upward trajectory in the United States, land-based casinos and online gaming companies are expanding and strengthening their partnerships to position themselves to offer new products and services. This trend has continued with news that Scientific Games and Caesars Entertainment have grown their collaboration in the digital sports world and the exciting online casino industry.
New Deal Announced
As part of the expanded agreement between the two companies, OpenSports and OpenGaming product suites of Scientific Games will now be included. These products are of high quality and established within the gambling industry around the world. The options will be integrated within several operators to improve the overall customer experience.
This news comes as Caesars make moves to expand their online footprint. The company has revealed they will begin offering mobile betting in the state of Pennsylvania and Indiana. Caesars has made no secret of their desire to expand their sports betting options in both states. This will include a fully functioning online site in Pennsylvania.
Scientific Games will use their expertise in conjunction with Caesars’ teams to provide a quality online casino and sports betting platform to players of the brand across several states. The Group CEO, Digital for Scientific Games, Jordan Levin, has stated that the technology of Scientific Games combined with the United States player-centric experience will allow Caesars to offer an unrivaled experience across betting and digital gaming platforms.
Partnership Grows Stronger
The partnership between Scientific Games and Caesars began in the summer of 2018. This followed hot on the heels of the United States Supreme Court, overturning a federal ban on sports betting. This decision allowed individual states to legalize sports betting and offer this to their residents.
The partnership’s initial stages saw both companies working together in Mississippi and New Jersey, due to Caesars owning numerous properties in those states. Another factor in choosing those states was there were among the first to legalize sports betting after the Supreme Court decision. Since those early days, both companies have worked together to expand the sports betting and online casino industries in other states.
The most recent activity was in Pennsylvania. Last year, the brand opened The Book at Harrah’s in Philadelphia. They have since also gone live with a new online sportsbook and casino in the state. The Keystone state is a crucial destination for online gambling and is one fastest growing online gaming markets across the United States.
As states try to recover from Coronavirus and look to other revenue sources, online gambling could become more prevalent. This will offer encouragement to Caesars and Scientific Games to exploit these states. This is likely to happen this year as land-based casinos have been shut since March, and online gambling could see the claw back some of that lost revenue. In states where online gambling is already flourishing, such as New Jersey and Pennsylvania, a steady stream of revenue has continued to roll in. This will lead to other states looking to adopt the same model.
