#2. BetMGM Sportsbook
In some ways, BetMGM is be one of the best baseball betting sites — while in others, it is decidedly mediocre. We wouldn’t suggest BetMGM as a one-stop shop for baseball betting, but if you’re open to the idea of signing up to multiple sites, BetMGM can become an invaluable part of your sports betting arsenal.
To start with the good, BetMGM is the most likely betting site to provide baseball betting odds that differ most from other sites. So if you’re planning on using multiple baseball betting apps, BetMGM is a must to include.
Unfortunately, we’ve found that on average, BetMGM charges the most vig compared to other sportsbooks on this list. It’s not horrible. And it beats out other sites that haven’t made this list. Though when you compare it with the best baseball sportsbooks online, BetMGM does fall a bit short when comparing the lines.
BetMGM doesn’t really favor one sport over another. So while the site is overall great for baseball betting, there’s nothing besides a few baseball specific promos that could be considered unique BetMGM features.

When DraftKings launched in 2012 as a daily fantasy sports website, the first competition they offered was a heads-up baseball contest. Since then, DraftKings has evolved to become more than a DFS app. Though it’s clear that while their overall business structure may have changed — their love of baseball still remains as strong as ever.
Due to their long-standing partnership with Major League Baseball, it shouldn’t be surprising to hear that DraftKings has a few unique features for baseball fans. The best of these are undoubtedly the unique baseball specific promos and bets that are offered by DraftKings. Keep an eye open around major events and games and you might be able to find an exclusive bonus. We also think the vig charged at DraftKings is excellent. They’re one of the few baseball betting apps that regularly work in less than 4% juice on all their bets.
One drawback of DrafKings is that there is no live streaming function, nor is there even the graphical interface that many of the other top MLB betting sites have. It’s always difficult predicting a World Series outright winner. There are plenty of opportunities for wild card teams to make a comeback and there are so many elimination rounds that the favorites could slip up in any match and be out. If you consider the below situation, you’ll see that Baltimore might be first in the AL East division, but the Tampa Bay Rays have scored almost 50 runs more than them. The Rays are on a hot streak and their expected win/loss (X-WL) is higher than Baltimore, so they’d be a good pick for both moneylines and over bets on totals.
Keep using this sort of analysis going into the World Series final. Any data or information you use to make your bets will always be useful to increase your odds of predicting the correct outcome.
Popular World Series Prop Bets
With all the basic betting odds covered, let’s explore some of the more entertaining prop bets. The most popular prop bet would be betting on the MVP of the World Series. There’ll be a list of odds related to each player and it usually comes down to form before the match. You can also bet on the first team to score in each match, this is mostly down to luck but you can make the most informed decision by looking at previous game stats.
There are a couple of riskier options, such as betting on a grand slam. Baseball Bet Types
Betting on baseball is different than betting on other sports. This is mainly due to the schedule of the MLB. 2,430 games + postseason means that it’s impractical to bet every game, or even the majority of games — instead, you want to cherry-pick the best games to find the lines with the most value.
There’s no easy way to do this. Study the schedule and wait till there’s a game where you have a lot of knowledge on both teams. Then check the markets to see the most profitable bet types.
Moneyline
Moneyline is the most basic bet type. Choose which of the two teams you think will win. The payout odds for each team are adjusted so that both sides of the bet look attractive to bettors: each wager provides lower payouts for the team favored to win and higher payouts for the underdog.
Moneyline Listed Pitchers
This is the same as the above, though with a little insurance. Before the start of the game, both teams will have a listed pitcher who is most likely to start the game. If, for whatever reason one of the listed pitchers doesn’t start, the bet will be scratched, and your stake will be returned.
Run Line
A little more advanced, a spread is like a moneyline bet — except now the teams have a handicap. Run line wagers stipulate that the favored team must win by a certain number of points for bets on that team to be considered winners. For example, if the Colorado Rockies are listed at -1.5, it means the Rockies effectively start the game down by 1.5 runs. In this example, the Rockies must win by at least 2 runs for wagers on the Rockies to be considered winners.
Baseball Totals (Over/Under)
With over/under, you don’t bet on either of the two teams to win. Instead, the sportsbook will display a certain number of runs, and you have to predict if you think the combined runs of both teams will be over or under the listed runs.
Player Prop Bets
If you’re feeling confident about a particular player, you can bet on that player specifically. Common player prop bets are to manage a certain number of hits, home runs, or for pitchers to record a certain number of strikeouts.
Same Game Parlays
SGPs (Same Game Parlays) allow you to combine multiple bets that occur in a single game, into one big bet. These bets usually give massive odds, and many of the best baseball betting sites will boost SGP odds or give you other bonuses.
First 3, 5, or 7 Innings
You can also make bets which only apply to the first few innings. So if you think a team will come out strong, these bets can help you capitalize on it.
Baseball Parlays

Live Baseball Betting
