Namely, new players receive only 1 SC and 10,000 GC when they register a new account. An extra 2 SC and 20,000 GC is awarded in three instances:

1. Phone verification completed
2. Email and notification consent is given
3. SMS consent is given

That sums it up to 7 SC and 70,000 GC. The remaining 1 SC and 10,000 GC come from the daily login bonus. It’s not unusual for sweepstakes casinos to have roundabout sign-up bonus rules, but jumping through all of these hoops was worth it in the end.

First Purchase Bonus

Even though Zula Casino is quite vocal about its “no purchase necessary” policy, players who want to get a headstart can buy gold coins and receive some free sweeps while they’re at it. I have to admit that I was very lucky with Zula’s social media contests, but hitting the minimum coins for redemption should be easy even if you had to deposit a few dollars to get your first-purchase bonus.

Unlocking Zula Premium Mode

The “premium” or “Sweeps” mode is exclusive to players who have verified their accounts at Zula Casino. I should emphasize that even though basic account players can’t access the sweeps gameplay mode, you will still receive your free sweeps coins from any bonuses you claim.

As soon as I accumulated 100 sweeps coins, I clicked the “Redeem” button in the upper-right section of the lobby screen. I was prompted to select the amount of SCs I wished to redeem, and then an automated message asked me to provide a “proof of identity” I referenced earlier.

In my case, I was asked to provide a simple copy of my ID card. However, the required proof seems to vary from player to player. According to Zula Social Casino’s T&Cs, they may ask for your driver’s license, ID card, utility bills, or a screenshot of your credit card.

After uploading the documents, I was able to continue with the process. I used my Visa card, but they also accept Mastercard and American Express.
