TwinSpires Launches in time for week 2 of NFL season
The TwinSpires sportsbook, owned by Churchill Downs Incorporated, is now up and running and is accepting bets just in time for week two of the NFL season. The New York Giants hosted the Washington Football Team on Thursday to begin the start of the second week of the regular season.
TwinSpires secured market access in Arizona thanks to an agreement with the Tonto Apache Tribe, which owns and operates the Mazatal Hotel and Casino.

TwinSpires is joining the BetMGM sportsbook, Caesars sportsbook, FanDuel sportsbook, DraftKings sportsbook, WynnBET sportsbook, and Penn National/Barstool as the operators who currently have a live online sports betting platform in the state.
Additionally, TwinSpires will open a retail sportsbook within the Mazatzal Casino, which is located in Payson. Arizona becomes the seventh state to accept wagers on the TwinSpires sports betting website.
TwinSpires is also live in Indiana, Colorado, Mississippi, Tennessee, Michigan, and Pennsylvania. The brand is planning to launch in New Jersey in the third quarter of 2021.
