Unibet Mobile App Set For Pennsylvania Launch
Kindred’s Unibet-branded gambling app will be soft launched in Pennsylvania today before a full launch later this week.
As per regulations, the product will be available for limited periods over the next three days and then, subject to approval by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB), will go live on Friday.
Here are the PA testing hours:
- Tuesday, Nov. 12: Noon – 8 p.m.
- Wednesday, Nov. 13: 11 a.m. – 9 p.m.
- Thursday, Nov. 14: 11 a.m. – 11 p.m.
Unibet have said the initial casino launch will include 140 games, which is almost double the number of its closest competitor in the state, Hollywood Casino (76), with another 150 to 200 to come before the end of the year.
How to get the app?
The online casino platform, which is integrated with the sports betting product, will be available for Android devices or via the web browser: pa.unibet.com. Android users will have to download the app from the website. iPhone users will have to wait a while longer as a launch date has yet to be announced.
Unibet scores casino branding deal with Eagles
The launch is a timely one as it comes just a few days after the announcement of a casino sponsorship deal between Unibet and the NFL’s Philadelphia Eagles, who face a big match up on Sunday when they host the New England Patriots.
The deal makes Unibet an official casino partner of the Eagles and is the first of its kind for the team. As it is solely focused on casino operations, there are no promotional rights for sports betting.
Still, Unibet will get a permanent branding presence at Lincoln Financial Field, visible to TV viewers, as well as other branding opportunities across digital and print assets, including the official website, team publications and social media channels.

“As we look to grow our footprint in the U.S., it only made sense to partner with one of the largest, most-respected and loved teams in the NFL,” said Arnas Janickas, head of U.S. marketing at Unibet in the news release. “The Eagles unmatched fan engagement and relentless innovation in digital space definitely helped to make this partnership a reality.”
Unibet’s US expansion now focused on two states
The Stockholm-based company already has a retail presence in Pennsylvania, having partnered with the Mohegan Sun Pocono land-based casino, with the first bets being placed in September.
That was the first phase of expansion for the company in the Keystone State, with this week’s launch giving them an online presence too.
Unibet’s casino app has been live on New Jersey since June under under the Hard Rock license, with the online sportsbook added in September.
In the same month, they entered into a deal with the NHL’s New Jersey Devils, which includes signage and digital exposure. Unlike the Eagles deal, it’s specifically related to sports betting.
Both deals and the launch of its second mobile sportsbook in Pennsylvania, should help European-based Unibet establish a strong footprint in the US.
Unibet NJ just favoring the Patriots
Unibet’s sportsbook app in New Jersey has pegged the Patriots as small road favorites (-3) for the Week 11 matchup, which is very important for both teams.
The Patriots have a slim 1-game lead over the Baltimore Ravens for the No. 1 seed in the AFC playoff picture, while the Eagles (5-4) are tied with the Dallas Cowboys for first place in the NFC East.
If you’re located inside New Jersey and are aged 21 or older, you can download the app here.
