The WSOP.com online poker site is owned and operated by Caesars Entertainment along with its iGaming partner, 888poker. The online poker site officially launched in November 2013 in New Jersey. WSOP got ahead of the game and was launched before other poker rooms, just nine months after online gambling, was finally legalized in New Jersey. This has resulted in them building a solid customer base, with WSOP regularly topping the New Jersey charts in poker traffic.
Up until 2017, players could only compete against other players in New Jersey. However, the then Governor, Chris Christie, signed NJ into the Multi-State Gaming Alliance, joining Nevada and Deleware. WSOP NJ also shares its player pool with that of 888 poker. WSOP NJ is fully licensed by the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement. They are a far better alternative to PokerStars and even offshore operators like bovada poker.
Joining WSOP.com NJ
Joining WSOP.com is a simple process for players in New Jersey. First, you will need to download the WSOP software to your PC. Once this is complete, you will be required to fill in a registration form with some mandatory fields. This will ask for things such as your name, address, and social security number. The process takes less than 10 minutes to do and you will be able to set your own username, password and also confirm your account and email.
Once the form has been completed, players just need to click submit, and then you can access all of the online poker real money games available. You can now become the next Daniel Negreanu who has won WSOP no less than 6 times.
WSOP NJ Mobile
If you want to play from your mobile, there are apps for Android devices and the iPhone & iPad. Here’s how you download them:
WSOP app on Android
You sure can. To get it, go to wsop.com and select WSOP online poker. Sign up for your playing account. Click on the main menu and scroll to Mobile Poker. Scroll to the Android option and press Download Now. Then, download the NJ client by pressing OK to keep the wsop.com_nj.apk. Let the app download and press open.
WSOP app on an iPhone
Yes, there is an app available for iOS devices, including the iPhone & iPad. You can get it from iTunes anywhere in the US. Head to wsop.com and create your playing account. Then click on online poker, mobile poker, then scroll and click on Download on the App Store. This will take you to iTunes, where you can press GET.
You won’t find the real money poker app from WSOP in Google Play in the US. This is because the Play Store does not allow any real money gambling apps to be available in the US.
You can download the WSOP.com NJ mobile app from the iTunes app store, but you won’t find it in the Google Play Store in the US. This is because Google doesn’t allow any real money apps in the US Play Store. It is available for both iOS and Android devices. As long as you have a reasonable internet connection, the app should run smoothly. When using the app, you will be able to access all of the cash games and tournaments. There isn’t as much variety as there, as you will find on the desktop version. However, the app does support no-limit Hold ’em, fixed-limit Hold ’em, and Sit and Go’s.
The WSOP app has an impressive tournament lobby where players can get a lot of information about each cash game taking place. However, the poker software on the app isn’t that great. There are no multi-table tournaments or integrated cashier options to be found.
With the WSOP.com app, you can make deposits, redeem bonuses, and request withdrawals. Furthermore, you have a chance to look at your account information, including your balances. The app also gives you the ability to manage your loyalty points.
The app does a decent job of allowing players to play some online poker on the go. However, it does contain some problems. For New Jersey poker players who are perhaps more serious and would prefer longer poker sessions, the desktop lobby is the best option.
WSOP.com NJ Bonus & Promotion Info
WSOP.com NJ has numerous bonuses and promotions to entice new poker players and keep them playing. The poker site also runs an ongoing loyalty program. First, WSOP.com offers a 100% up to $1,000 Deposit Bonus. So the website will match your first deposit up to a maximum of $1,000. Please note that you can only claim this bonus on your first deposit. For example, if you deposit $100, then follow that up with another deposit, you will only receive $100. The bonus needs to be cleared by earning loyalty points (or Action Player Points).
This deposit bonus is released in $10 increments. You need to earn 100 Action Player Points to release $10 of bonus money. Moreover, you have 60 days to clear the bonus. After this point, any remaining promotional money will be gone. To break this down further, if you deposit $400 or more, you will need to put forward $2000 in rake and tournament fees before procuring the full bonus. If you don’t meet this high target, you will still retain the portion you have already cleared. This first deposit bonus is quite slow to clear, but if you play your cards right, you can use it to your benefit.
Additionally, new players can claim seven tournament tickets for 100 freerolls during their first seven days signed up to WSOP.com NJ.
Promotions & Benefits
As well as cashing in on WSOP Points, players can also take advantage of the several promotions and benefits on offer at WSOP.com NJ. Members who are signed up to the All Action Club can participate in a $500 Weekly Invitation Freeroll tournament, which takes place every Sunday at 6 pm. Furthermore, if a player can reach gold status or higher, they will get a free ticket to the weekly $20K Sunday Guarantee tournament. There is no secret bonus or a WSOP free chips hack that we have come across.
WSOP.com NJ also has bonuses and tournaments that target different customer groups. For example, senior promotions are only available to players who are aged 50 or over. There is also a $1,000 Hero Freeroll tournament, which is open to those serving in the police force, fire department, and armed services.

WSOP.com NJ Rewards Program
The WSOP.com NJ rewards program is also known as ‘Action Club’ or ‘Poker Rewards.’ This uses Action Player Points to determine a player’s level within the program. The program allows players to accumulate these points (APPs). The points are earned at a rate of 2 APPs per $1 paid in rake and tournament fees. Each player is placed in a tier system based on the number of action club points earned. The points are reset at the end of each month.
The monthly tiers range from Copper, which required 2 APPS, to Diamond, which requires 7,500 APPs. Furthermore, there is also the Champions Club, which is available to players who earn 20,000 APPs in a calendar year. If a player reaches the Bronze tier, they will automatically have their APPs converted to WSOP Points. Players can enter the Bronze tier by collecting 200 APPs a month, which costs $100 in rake or tournament fees.
WSOP points accumulated can be converted. For example, 100 WSOP Points can be converted to $1 in unrestricted cash. To redeem these points, you need to head to the ‘My Profile’ section. Here you will see an option to view your rewards and then convert. You can access the profile section from the main lobby.
It is also worth pointing out that if you have a Caesars Entertainment Caesars Rewards account, you can link this to your WSOP NJ profile. This is worth doing as for every APP you earn; you will receive a Caesars Rewards Tier Credit. Players must collect at least one WSOP point during six months; otherwise, any WSOP points you have will then expire.
Although it may seem complicated on first viewing, the WSOP NJ loyalty program is easily explained in the promotions section of the poker site.
WSOP.com NJ Poker Games
There are numerous games available with WSOP NJ, which fans of NJ online poker will enjoy. There are good options for new players or those who are more experienced poker players.
There are numerous tournaments scheduled every day at WSOP.com NJ. The choice is excellent compared to other online gambling sites. Buy-ins range from $1 to $500. Some of the ongoing tournaments that are popular among players are:
- Weekend Warriors
- $10K Sunday Guarantee
- $5K Nightly R & A
No-Limit Hold ’em and other poker variants feature in the above tournaments. Look out for the registration times and the buy-in limits for each tournament. These cash tournaments give players an excellent opportunity to add to their prize pool.
Sit & Go Tournaments
The Sit & Go tournaments are easy to access, but there isn’t a lot of variety to be found. If you visit the site at peak hours, you are likely to see more tournaments available. WSOP.com NJ does support multiple SnG formats; however, most players play Hold ’em. Buy-ins range from $1 to $25. Because of this, if you are more interested in other variants such as Omaha Hi/Lo, Poker Stars NJ may well be a better option.
Cash games are an excellent place to start for new players to WSOP.com NJ. The formats are quite basic with No-Limit Hold ’em, the most popular form of poker played. Fixed Limit Hold ’em games are also an option, although it is difficult to find a table unless you are playing in peak hours. Stakes can range from as little as $0.01/$0.02 to £20. Stud Pot-Limit Omaha and Omaha Hi/Lo are all also available.
WSOP NJ Software
WSOP.com NJ has software which can easily be downloaded for both a PC and a Mac. Through their partnership with 888 Poker, WSOP.com is powered by Dragonfish. Using this software is mandatory because there is no browser-based client.
Similar to other online poker sites, the interface is intuitive. There are also filtering options that allow you to choose which games you want. The filter options include stakes, format, and player count.
Security is watertight, as you would expect with a brand as well known as WSOP. As the site deals with real cash all the time, such transactions are protected by Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology. Furthermore, you can use PokerTracker with the site, which will appeal to professional players.
One complaint players have is that although Dragonfish is easy to use and download, it is not often updated. This means it can look a bit old and outdated. WSOP may perhaps look at some other poker software that can bring it in line with other online poker sites.
WSOP.com NJ Banking Options
WSOP.com NJ offers adequate deposit methods. The minimum deposit amount with WSOP.com is $10. You can make a deposit using the following purposes:
- ACH Payments
- Cash at the Caesars AC cage
There are not as many withdrawal options. Those that are available include:
- Bank draft
- Reverse withdrawal requests
There is no online bank transfer option available, which isn’t ideal. However, the available payment options are sufficient. For our review, the transactions we attempted were done smoothly, with deposit funds available to use from our account instantly. Withdrawals can take up to four days to be processed. However, if you have selected a check, it could be waiting for up to eight days.
WSOP NJ Customer Support
WSOP.com NJ has a comprehensive help section to aid any players who have a query. There are several ways in which you can contact the WSOP customer service team. First, you can email email@example.com if you want a paper trail of a conversation. The response times for emails are excellent, with players usually getting an answer within a couple of hours.
Next, there is a phone number available if you wish to speak to someone. The call center is open 24/7, so no matter what time you call with your poker question, there will be someone on hand to answer.
WSOP.com NJ has an extensive help section that covers, including banking, registration, cash games, tournaments, bonuses, and more. We found this section to be beneficial. It may be the case you need to speak to a member of the customer service team, but we would encourage players to visit this section first.
