WynnBet Enters Tennessee Market
WynnBET Sportsbook becomes the latest operator to launch in Tennessee.
The WynnBET online sportsbook has officially launched in Tennessee after the operator received approval from the Sports Wagering Committee of the Tennessee Education Lottery Corp at the beginning of the year. With the addition of WynnBet, there are now seven sportsbooks available in the all-online Tennessee sports betting market. Other sportsbooks available in the state include BetMGM, DraftKings, Twinspires, William Hill, FanDuel, and Nashville-based Action 24/7. The market launched on November 1, 2020, with four sportsbooks.
Well-known British bookmaker William Hill launched its online sportsbook in Tennessee on March 11. TwinSpires went live shortly after on March 19, both launching just before the start of the March Madness tournament.
The total March sports betting handle in Tennessee was $205.9 million, which was a jump of $29.6 million (16.8%) from February’s $176.3 million. However, the March figures came up just short of the state record for betting handle, which currently stands at $211.3 million set in January.
WynnBET Agrees to Partnership with Grizzlies
WynnBET is owned and operated by Wynn Resorts. The company had previously revealed it had agreed to a sports betting partnership with the NBA’s Memphis Grizzlies. The partnership commences for home games on May 10, 11, 13, and 14 at FedExForum. Additionally, per the terms of the deal, the WynnBET touring vehicle will be featured. According to a press release, this is a custom-built mobile experience that goes around the country hosting social appearances and events.
The WynnBET and Grizzlies collaboration will focus on a digital-first approach. As part of this digital strategy, there will be integrations across a number of digital and broadcast programs from the Grizzlies and Grind City Media, a digital content studio and on-demand media platform.
The WynnBET online sports betting platform is currently available in New Jersey, Indiana, Colorado, Virginia, Michigan, and Tennessee. In addition, the operator has market access opportunities in six other states and currently has numerous pending license applications in process.
WynnBET is an official authorized gaming operator of NASCAR and boasts partnerships with the Detroit Pistons and Grizzlies. According to the press release, the company is likely to announce more agreements in the future.
