WynnBET Sportsbook Arriving Soon in New York
The WynnBET app will soon be launching in New York. According to sources, a company spokesman stated that the New York State Gaming Commission (NYSGC) had awarded WynnBET New York a license to run its sportsbook in the state. The go-live date is still to be determined as no specific time or date has been given for WynnBET to start taking bets.
Big Sporting Events on the Horizon
Super Bowl LVI will take place on February 13 in California. The LA Rams will be in their own stadium facing the Cincinnati Bengals. WynnBet will undoubtedly be looking to launch before that date. The Super Bowl is annually the most wagered-on standalone event in the US and is an excellent opportunity for WynnBet to build its customer base. Currently, the odds favor the LA Rams as they are 4.5-point favorites over the Cincinnati Bengals.
WynnBet has not released any promos for going live in New York, but the sportsbook’s current bonuses and rewards in Louisiana may give us an idea of what to expect. New players who sign up early with WynnBET in Louisiana are given $250 in free wagers irrespective of their first $10 bet result.
New York Betting Numbers are Impressive
With six operators currently live, the New York sports wagering market has blossomed since launching on January 8. From the launch day until January 23, the Big Apple has a sports betting handle of $1.17 billion. New York has also recorded $46.6 million in sports wagering taxes and $91.4 million in revenue.
Caesars sportsbook posted the highest handle at $487.4 million. Next on the list is FanDuel at $360 million in handle, followed by DraftKings with $265.5 million, BetMGM $40.6 million, and BetRivers with $22.2 million.
More Operators set to Launch in New York
On January 25, PointsBet became the sixth and the latest brand to launch in New York. Johnny Aitken, PointsBet USA CEO, described launching in New York as “a significant milestone for the company.
Aitken added that the passionate sports fans in New York will now have access to the “fastest online sports betting product in the market.” In addition to WynnBet, Resorts World and BallyBet are the last three sportsbooks waiting for clearance from the NYSGC to start taking accepting bets.
