We signed up for a betting account in less than 10 minutes. When you join, you will have to give some standard registration details such as your name, cell number, address, date of birth, email, and you will also be asked for the last four digits of your Social Security number. BetMGM Sportsbook Features

Since it was initially launched back in 2018 (as PlayMGM), a whole host of improvements have gone into the design and usability of the app. Let’s be honest, when it first came to market, this app lacked a lot of features to make it a standout Sportsbook app. We are pleased to say 99% of those issues have now been addressed. A powerhouse like MGM wasn’t going to let DraftKings & FanDuel steal all the limelight after all. The rebranding has also seen an influx of exciting new features, including Edit My Bet, in-game visuals, and Track your bet. This is now the app that the playMGM mobile should have been all along, so a great call all around.

The BetMGM mobile sportsbook app is set up very much the same as the desktop version with pretty much all the same offerings. You can wager on all the same sports and events, just not tied down to your laptop or PC. When compared to other sportsbooks, BetMGM offers one of the widest choices of betting options. Some may feel that the interface is not the most attractive, but we quite like it with the new changes. With a white background, text in black, making it easy to read, and gold accent colors, it works well. There is a lot of information available via the mobile app, and it is still straightforward to navigate even on smaller device screens. It is easy to register, sign in, and manage your account, too, no real need ever to use your laptop as you can manage your account on your cell.

Cash-out and Live In-Game or In-Play betting is available with the book too. Cash-out for the majority of testing was excellent, and we didn’t have any issues in leaving the bet early if we didn’t think it would land. They are one of the best US Sportsbooks with a Cash Out feature.

In-Game betting is OK but is an area that needs more sports adding to it. Soccer is done quite well, and there are always several BetMGM game props to choose from. One of the new features, called Track Your Bet, is the Live scoreboards and visuals where you can track your bet in real-time across many of your favorite sports. You can also use the Edit My Bet option to give you more control over your wagers. This allows you to change and straight, or parlay bet that has the BetMGM Cash Out option available. BetMGM parlays are very easy to place with the book, especially thanks to two new features, called Easy Parlay and Parlay Generator. The generator is really impressive and uses a visual tool that returns random selections based on the criteria set by players. With only two main menus, navigating your way around is easy. The top left menu grants access to the Sports Home, Help, Responsible Gambling info, T&C’s, House Rules & Contact info. The fun menu as we like to call it has Live (for live in-play betting), Boosted Bets, MLB, Football, NHL, Basketball, Soccer, and a handful of other popular sports. There is a full A-Z in the footer of the page, and you can also see this in the My bets area and via the Betslip. The design is simple but effective. It is uncluttered and real quick to move around.

On the Sports home, you will see many of the day’s significant events coming up, and you can see those events with different odds formats too. For example, for football games, you will see the spread and totals as well as the moneyline pricing. They will have events on the main page and then at the top a link to all the games for that sport that has current odds posted. As far as pricing goes, BetMGM sorts are always very competitive, especially for NFL odds, and particularly for Patriots odds. Fixed odds betting is available with the book.

One of the great things about the BetMGM sportsbook is that through the app, it allows you to do much more than just make sports wagers. Of course, that is the main reason for using the book, but through the app, you can also take care of banking, for both deposits and withdrawals, snap up the various selection of bonuses and promotions, and get in touch with customer service. It is handy to have to check scores, too, as these updates real quick.

A couple of the unique things about the BetMGM app is that they have push notifications and also a quick deposit option. What could be improved on the app?

There is not much that needs to be improved on the BetMGM mobile app after the update. As all-around sports betting app, it offers a pretty solid setup. However, a live chat option was a feature we were after, and low and behold; the new app has one. Allowing you to chat live with a customer support representative to take care of issues in real-time is one of the best ways to sort any problems. We previously said that we would like to see live streaming through the mobile app, and this has been addressed and is now available on the new version.

In comparison to other sportsbooks, the PlayMGM app did come up a tad short in the design and app offerings. This new version seems to have fixed all of our previous complaints, so you have some happy bettors here. There are now plenty of alternatives to BetMGM available, but so far the operator has stacked up very well against the competition. Switching states on BetMGM

As you are probably aware, sports betting isn’t legal in all US states. While many are now embracing mobile, online, and retail sports betting, some states still do not. If you regularly travel for work or vacation, you may visit another state quite often. If this happens, you will need to switch states with BetMGM. This is now really easy to do, thanks to the new state-switcher function.

The first time you open the new BetMGM app, you will be asked to share your location. The app will display the home screen of that state and set this as default. If you then travel to a different state and open the app, it will still show the state you last logged in from. This is where the new state-switcher function comes in. Just scroll to the bottom of the page, and from the dropdown menu, select your new state. It’s as easy as that. So, if you are using BetMGM Louisiana but then travel to Arizona or Michigan, you can simply switch to BetMGM Arizona or BetMGM Michigan.

Just remember that you must be in a state where sports betting is legal, and BetMGM is a licensed mobile betting operator to place a bet. If your balance isn’t showing, you should also note that your balance is only available in the state where you made the deposit.

BetMGM Sportsbook Geolocation

As sports betting is not legal in all US states, establishing where a player is located is vital. BetMGM geolocation needs to pinpoint your exact location and prove you are in a regulated state. On the mobile app, this is done by confirming your location using GPS in the location settings. If you are in a legal state and using a PC or Laptop, you may need to use a GeoComply plugin to confirm your location.

Occasionally, you may have problems with the sportsbook’s geolocation settings. If you are using the BetMGM sports iPhone app, you can confirm your location this way: Settings » Privacy » Location services (toggle on) » Access the app and confirm to share your location. Make sure you have selected either of these options: when using the app, or always.

If you are using the Android app from BetMGM sports, then go into Settings » Location (toggle set to on) » App permissions » Locate the app, then Select Allow all the time or when using the app.

NJ sports betting went live in 2018. Since then betting on sports online has become hugely popular in the state, with over 80% of all bets now placed online. Placing a Wager on the app

Gambling on the BetMGM app is a straightforward process. It is the same process as if you were using the desktop site, just on a smaller screen. When you log in to your account on the app, you will notice all of the available betting markets and types of bets are listed. Simply select your preferred sport and event from the lists available.

Live betting is also available on the app, and is easy to bet on. This means you can wager on a sporting event once it has already begun. There is a dedicated live betting section on the app with all of the available markets and bet types.

Once you have chosen your selections, a bet slip will appear on the screen with the odds included. Your bet will automatically be submitted, and the process is complete.

Cashier & Banking Options

BetMGM sports offers a wide array of banking options for both deposits and withdrawals. Again, BetMGM deposits and withdrawals can be taken care of through the Android & iPhone mobile app. You can, of course, do this online, too, using the cashier facility built into the site. The BetMGM minimum deposit is only $10, and the maximum deposit will differ depending on your deposit method. This may be increased from the limit if you contact the customer service department.

We are impressed with the range of baking options available with BetMGM and they offer one of the widest banking options for a sportsbook, especially in NJ. Having PayPal as a deposit option is always a great shout for speed and convenience.

We have always loved the BetMGM brand. It may have something to do with MGM Atlantic City being one of our favorite casinos.
