Best French Open Betting Sites – Bet on Men’s French Open Tennis

Here’s our selection of the top betting sites for betting on the French Open

The French Open is one of the 4 major tennis championships or Grand Slams. The Roland Garros (French Open) takes place once a year in Paris and the first event took place all the way back in 1891. The French Open is a special tournament because it is the only major played on clay. Clay is a unique surface as the ball spins and skids, and overall the gameplay is much slower compared to hard court surfaces found at the US and Australian Open.

I always get excited when the Roland Garros betting markets start opening, as the unique clay courts make it extremely difficult to predict. This translates to long odds and great betting opportunities, and on this page, I will show you where you can make your money making predictions on the French Open.

Best 5 French Open Betting Sites

Avid sports bettors will definitely recognize a few names on my list. It does not matter though if you are an expert tennis bettor or not, as I specifically picked sites that can be enjoyed by bettors of all levels of experience. It was not easy finding the top three French Open betting sites, as there are so many great legal US sportsbooks to pick from. However, I tested the platforms rigorously and even got a couple of my colleagues to give them a go, and finally here are our favorite sites.

#1. DraftKings

DraftKings is the number 1 French Open betting site due to its sleek mobile-optimized site, extensive live betting markets for every French Open match, and its generous welcome bonus!

My ideal betting site should present all the French Open bets clearly, and give me loads of options to go into fine detail with my predictions. DraftKings really excels in all of that, neatly organizing its bets so that you can jump between Match Lines, Player Bets, Match Props, Sets, Break Points and more. There are premade parlays to help new bettors or those of us who are looking for new ideas, and a plethora of amazing props to pack into your epic SGP and parlay bets.

💻 Betting Experience

DraftKings has a lightning-quick website, and thanks to their search function, you can quickly pull up the French Open betting markets and start exploring. I really like how I can quickly snap up props from different matches all without having to jump into the selections for each individual game. This feature is especially useful during live play, which I have tested by shooting away and making some quickfire parlays with live odds. Customer support is always on hand through the live chat, and I can watch French Open matches in HD through the app, which can be downloaded on iOS and Android.

🎁 Bonuses

DraftKings regularly offers profit boosts for single and parlay bets on the French Open. I have also made use of some of the generic sports offers on the site, which are quite hefty. As a newcomer to DraftKings, you can pick up the generous welcome package, which can be put into all your French Open wagers and should last you quite a while.

💳 Betting Markets and Odds

DraftKings has over 30 different French Open bet types. You can make classic moneyline and spread bets but also more exotic wagers like total number of games, set winner, and number of aces. Back on the subject of parlays again, this platform really lets me go wild with my predictions. The lengthy odds on French Open props are tremendous, so even with a modest number of bets in your slip, you can still try to hit the big bucks.

The tennis props are what make DraftKings my favorite betting site for the French Open. The interface is optimized to make life easier for props bettors, by highlighting the main markets and presenting them all on one page. A solid win for me.

#2. FanDuel

FanDuel is a legal US sportsbook that operates in 20+ US states and has a stellar reputation. They have market-beating odds for all French Open games and some of the most extensive live betting options I have come across.

I can highly recommend this platform to any tennis bettors who want to place wagers on Roland Garros, the other Grand Slams, or any other WTA or ATP tournament. The sheer volume of betting markets on tennis is extraordinary, and FanDuel allows bettors to push their luck to the limits with up to 25 selections in one single parlay bet. Take that little piece of information, and then spice it up with a profit boost – you have a recipe for some lip-smacking and juicy potential winnings.

💻 Betting Experience

FanDuel provides a seamless betting experience, it takes less than 2 minutes to sign up, and you can deposit instantly via credit/debit card, e-wallets, bank transfer, and more. I found their betting markets very easy to navigate, and their bet slip gives the freedom to place and modify bets at the click of a button.

🎁 Bonuses

FanDuel offers regular profit boosts, which can be put into your French Open bets. Occasionally, FanDuel will also offer its Multi-Sports Parlay Insurance promos. Applying this bonus, you will get up to $25 back if one of your parlay selections falls through. Look out for more bonuses when the French Open is on, as this sportsbook knows how to celebrate the big Grand Slam events with a plethora of goodies.

💳 Betting Markets and Odds

FanDuel has more bet types than you can handle! You can easily kill a few hours simply browsing through their French Open betting markets. Some of my go to markets are total games, player A to win first service game, player B to win at least one set and set winner. Also, FanDuel is famous for offering the best odds on parlays for all sports, especially tennis!

I had a blast betting at FanDuel on the French Open. The range of options and having a bet slip capable of taking up to 25 selections in one parlay gave me so much freedom to form my wagers. I would also mention that the betting app is very robust and easy to use.

#3. BetMGM

BetMGM is one of the most popular sports betting platforms in the country. This sportsbook is in 18+ US states and is run by MGM Resorts – the same MGM behind 30 + casinos across America. I have played at BetMGM casinos and used the BetMGM sports betting app for loads of events, from NFL games to MLB World Series futures.

When I tested BetMGM for its tennis bets on the French Open, I was not disappointed with what it had to offer. Masses of betting markets were up for grabs, and I could easily snap up my top picks and put them into round robins or parlay bets. The odds at this sportsbook are to die for, and it has a fantastic loyalty program that rewards users handsomely.

💻 Betting Experience

BetMGM offers a fantastic overall betting experience. They have great features like live streaming, cash out, edit my bet, and even a fantastic online casino. BetMGM has a beautifully designed website with a white, gold and black theme and also a 4.8-star rated app available at the App Store and Google Play.

🎁 Bonuses

BetMGM treats its players right! They offer one of the biggest welcome bonuses out there, and the rewards only continue through its epic loyalty program. I have picked up birthday bonuses and anniversary bonuses, which have only gotten bigger with each birthday. You don’t need to solely rely on birthday bonuses and the loyalty program for bonuses either. BetMGM is famous for gifting Odds Boost and Parlay Boost tokens, which can make a massive impact on your French Open betting strategy.

💳 Betting Markets and Odds

BetMGM has a great selection of French Open bet types, including moneyline, spread, set winner, over/under totals, and more. You can also bet live on every single game from BetMGM. Where BetMGM really shines is its odds. Their odds are consistently higher than competitors, which can significantly boost your payouts!

The range of bonuses certainly enhances the betting experience at BetMGM, but my favorite feature is the live betting. BetMGM has a wide range of live French Open bets, and I can even place live parlays through its Easy Parlay tool.

#4. Caesars Sportsbook

Caesars Sportsbook had plenty of tremendous promotions and betting markets to pick from, enhancing the betting excitement on the French Open. I have been a member of Caesars for many a year now, and the betting site is extremely reliable, especially for big events and Grand Slams. Caesars is available in 20 states across the US and has no shortages of goodies to keep you motivated for the big tournament.

💻 Betting Experience

Caesars is a highly experience sportsbook and knows how to create the ultimate betting experience. I enjoy using the platform on desktop as well as on my cell phone, using the Caesars mobile betting app for the latter. It is easy to open the vast selection of French Open tennis bets and browse through all the picks. I can also assemble a bet slip with all my selections and then combine them into a parlay, round robin, or any other type of system bet.

🎁 Bonuses

For big competitions such as the French Open, Caesars offers masses of bonuses and goodies. I particularly enjoyed the odds boost and profit boost tokens, which I could apply to my tennis bets and extend my potential winnings considerably. I also recommend you to check out the odds boosts, where you can single out great deals every day. I don’t always go for them myself, but sometimes I catch bets I like at unbeatable prices. Another incentive of betting at Caesars is its wondrous Reward Program, which offers even more bonuses, pools and challenges, as well as the chance to join massive player tournaments for big prizes.

💳 Betting Markets and Odds

Every day of the French Open is celebrated at Caesars Sportsbook, through its daily odds boosts and seemingly endless range of tennis betting markets. The betting lines for futures and pregame wagers are top notch, giving you great value for your dollar. I also tested the round robins and parlay betting options, and was satisfied with the simplicity and ease with which I could form my advanced bets. Through the Caesars mobile app, I could also view, edit and confirm my bets.

Caesars is comfortably one of my favorite betting apps for the French Open. The bonuses are not just for display either, as they can be used in many applications or using different types of bets. I would recommend this app to any tennis bettors.

#5. bet365 Sportsbook

Rounding off my shortlist of the best French Open betting sites is bet365. This platform would rank higher in my list if it was available in more states in the US. If you reside in one of the states where you can access bet365, then I strongly recommend you try it out. The UK-based sportsbook specializes in tennis and has a plethora of pregame and live betting options to pick from.

💻 Betting Experience

bet365 is highly organised and easy to navigate. When opening the French Open category, I could easily browse through all the pregame and futures bets on offer. Once the tournament began, I could swithc over to the live betting markets and dive straight into the picks for each game. The selection is huge and does not feel overwhelming.

🎁 Bonuses

This is an area where bet365 falls a little short when compared with my other picks. The betting site has offers of Retirement Guarantee and Tennis Parlay Boost that you can always rely on, which are excellent. It also provides odds boosts on the French Open, but beyond that, there are not many bonuses to take advantage of. Don’t get me wrong, I think the parlay boost of up to 70% and the retirement insurance are fantastic and add loads of quality, but bet365 does not have as many bonuses as say Caesars or DraftKings.

💳 Betting Markets and Odds

bet365 is right up there with the top US sportsbook when it comes to betting markets and odds. There is no shortage of tennis bets to pick from, and once the games start, you can suddenly access a ton of live betting markets. You can form some excellent SGP parlay bets at bet365, betting on games, sets, aces, faults and more. The betting site is a perfect choice for keen bettors who want to bet on even the smallest aspects of each match.

bet365 has loads of betting markets to pick from, giving bettors lots of flexibility when making their betting predictions. I highly enjoyed the live betting experience, with live streams and loads of quality betting picks.

And More French Open Betting Sites!

Though you have my top 5 sportsbooks for French Open betting, I thought I might as well include some of the other websites that narrowly missed out on my shortlist. They are all legal US sportsbooks, but I felt that their offers did not match what my top 5 French Open sites had.

Nevertheless, to give you more options and a better perspective of what is out there, here are some other French Open betting sites that stood out for me.

Importance of Choosing the Right French Open Betting Site

The betting site you choose to sign up to seriously impacts your French Open betting experience. If you choose a shady site, you may be left with poor odds, a clunky website, no bonuses, and, even worse, might have your deposit stolen! This is why it literally pays to do some extra research and only bet with licensed and legit sportsbooks. Below I will run you through the key factors you should consider when selecting a French Open betting site.

Licensure

Before you even consider signing up to a French Open betting site, you need to check whether the site is licensed to operate in your state. If a sportsbook is operating in your state without a license, they are running an illegal business. It is not a good idea to trust your money and personal information with a company that has already shown that they don’t mind breaking the law.

Bonuses

After you have confirmed the sportsbook is licensed, open up their promotions page and see what deals they have. At top-rated sportsbooks, you can claim all kinds of juicy offerings, including bonus bets, deposit match deals, insurance, and cashback. Remember to read the terms and conditions to see wagering requirements and what markets or odds are restricted.

Betting Markets and Odds

If you are happy with the bonuses, then pull up the French Open betting markets and see exactly what bet types they have. Top sportsbooks have 50 + markets for all French Open games, including popular bet types like moneyline, spread, futures, set winner, game-winner, correct score, and same-match parlay. They also have live betting markets, which allow you to wager on French Open matches that are still being played.

I also recommend analyzing the odds as these reveal your potential payouts. Open the French Open gambling markets for 4 or 5 sportsbooks and compare the odds for different games. Stick to the site that consistently has the best French Open odds, and your bankroll with thank you.

Special Features

The best French Open betting sites are loaded with all kinds of features that make sports betting a great hobby. One awesome feature is cash out, which allows you to end your bet early and receive a payout. This is a great way to reduce your risk and prevent a late comeback from ruining your wager. Another great feature is live streaming which allows you to watch French Open matches in HD, creating an immersive sports betting experience. Also, some sportsbooks have tons of match stats that you can use to inform your betting decisions and boost your win percentage.

Payment Methods

Don’t forget to check what payment methods the sportsbook offers. At legit French Open betting sites, you can deposit instantly and receive your winnings within 72 hours via secure payment methods like bank transfer, e-wallets, and credit/debit cards. If a sportsbook takes weeks to process withdrawals and or charges fees, then immediately find another site!

Past Winners of the French Open

Roland Garros has always been thrilling to watch, and many world class players have gone on to win the competition. In the men’s singles competition, I have won plenty of futures bets on Nadal and Djokovic, but going forward, I may have to think about up-and-comers such as Carlos Alcaraz and Alexander Tsverev. The women’s singles are also heaps of fun to bet on, with the likes of Iga Swiatek leading the new generation of players.

Betting Strategies and Tips for the French Open

It is not easy to consistently beat online sportsbooks. They are constantly trying to improve their handicapping and charging vig, which is difficult to overcome, but with the right strategy, it is possible. Here are a few tips I have picked up over my years of betting on the French Open.

Bet on Spaniards

Spain has a rich tennis tradition and has produced amazing players over the years, including the best clay court player of all time, Rafael Nadal. Spanish players always perform extremely well at the French Open as they grow up playing on clay courts and are used to the hot temperatures.

They have all kinds of tricks and know how to get the ball to spin and skid. You can’t go wrong betting on top-ranked Spanish players to win the French Open in the futures markets. Also, don’t be afraid of betting on unranked Spanish players to cause upsets in the early rounds, especially when they are playing highly ranked players who are hard-court specialists.

Bet Against British Players

It doesn’t matter if it is women’s, men’s, or doubles, the Brits historically perform terribly on clay. If you see a British player in the tournament, then irrespective of their form and ranking, bet on their opponent to win.

The British National Tennis Centre only has two outdoor clay courts, and in the lead-up to the French Open, they are often out of action due to poor weather. British players simply don’t play enough on clay and are at a serious disadvantage against continental European players.

Claim All Your Bonuses

A simple way to eliminate the sportsbooks’ edge is to claim a bonus. While online sportsbooks come with different rules like min odds and wagering requirements to reduce the profitability of bonuses, you can still use them to increase your bankroll. The best bonuses to claim are insurance, bonus bets, and bonus cash.

Study Statistics

If you are obsessed with tennis, then you probably already love pouring over the latest match data. To succeed at French Open tennis betting, you need to base your betting decisions on relevant match stats and players’ performance.

Some key ones to consider include head-to-head record, record at the French Open, record on clay, first serve percentage, and average unforced errors. These stats have substantial predictive power.

Types of Tennis Bets for the French Open Tournament

clay french open court

Tennis has some of the most extensive betting markets of any sport. You can bet on the match and tournament winner but also all aspects of the match, from games to sets and more. I think all tennis bettors should know the following types of bet.

  • Moneyline – This is the most basic form of French Open betting and involves predicting which player will win a match. For example, you can bet on Rafael Nadal to beat Novak Djokovic in the semi-final at the French Open.
  • Spread – Spread betting is similar to moneyline bets in that you need to predict the winner of an individual game, but you have to factor in the +/- set handicap placed on the players. The purpose of the spread is to even out the match so there is a strong favorite. For example, if you bet on Carlos Alcaraz to beat Lorenzo Musetti with a -1.5 set handicap, Alcaraz needs to win in 4 sets or less.
  • Futures – This is where you bet on a player to win the whole tournament. For example, you bet on Iga Swiatek to win the women’s singles tournament. Futures odds are higher than moneyline wagers because, for a player to win the French Open, they need to win 7 matches in a row.
  • Set Winner – You can bet on a player to win a particular set. For example, you bet on Casper Ruud to win the first set against Novak Djokovic. With this wager, your bet will still pay out even if the player goes on to lose the match.
  • Number of Games/Sets – You can bet on the number of games or sets that will be played in a match. This bet is presented as an over/under, and the line might be set at 3.5 sets. If you take the over and the match goes for 4 or 5 sets, you win.
  • Correct Score – With this bet, you need to predict what the correct score will be for a match or set. For example, you can bet on the first set between Emiliana Arango and Himeno Sakatsume ending 6-4 to Arango.
  • Set to Finish 6-0 – If any set throughout the entire match finishes 6-0, then you win. This bet is definitely a long shot because it is rare that a player can’t win at least one game when serving, even though serving is not as big of an advantage at the French Open compared to the US Open or Wimbledon.
  • Player to Win a Set – If your chosen player wins any set in the match, then your bet pays out. For example, if you bet on Jiri Vesely to win a set against Stefanos Tsitsipas and the match ends 6-4, 6-3, 1-6, 7-5, you win.

I don’t stick to a certain bet when looking at French Open matches. Instead, I try to keep my net as open as possible and only look for picks with lengthy odds. You can do the same too, just jump onto any of the sportsbooks and peek at what they have. You may find some unmissable odds on aces, set bets or correct score bets.

FAQs

What are the best French Open betting sites?

The best French Open betting sites are DraftKings, FanDuel, and BetMGM. All of these sportsbooks are fully licensed and operate in 18 + US states. They have live betting markets for all French Open matches, bonus bet and deposit bonuses, profit boosts, and 30 + markets for men’s and women’s games, including futures, match winner, and over/under.

How do French Open odds work?

French Open odds reveal your potential payout. For example, if you bet $100 on Rafael Nadal to win the French Open at +400, your payout would be $500 and your profit $400 (100 X 400). You can also use the odds to determine what chance of winning the sportsbook gives a player. For example, if Rafael Nadal is paying +400, that means the sportsbook thinks he has a 20% chance of winning the French Open (1/(1 +(400/100)).

Is it legal to bet on the French Open online?

It is 100% legal to bet on the French Open online. Online sports betting is now legal in 20 + US states, and more states are set to legalize it. If you reside in a state where online sports betting is illegal, you can still bet on the French Open at an offshore sportsbook. We don’t recommend using an offshore sportsbook as even though they are legal for players to use, the company is operating illegally in the US.

What types of bets can I place on the French Open?

You can place a wide range of bets on the French Open, including moneyline, futures, spread, set winner, game winner, correct score, player to win a set but lose a match, over/under number games and sets, set to finish 6-0 and more!

How can I find the best odds for the French Open?

To find the best French Open odds, you can use an odds comparison site. Simply pull up the French Open match you want to bet on, and it will show you the odds from 10 + different sportsbooks. Another way to get amazing odds for the French Open is to take advantage of profit boost promos, DraftKings regularly has profit boosts for tennis games.

Are there any bonuses or promotions available for French Open betting?

DraftKings has a bet $5 get $200 in bonus bet bonus where you can bet on any market including on any French Open match, and irrespective if your wager wins or loses, receive bonus bets. FanDuel has 100% insurance on your first bet up to $2,500. You can get insurance on all French Open bets.

Can I bet on live French Open matches?

You can bet on live French Open matches. FanDuel, DraftKings, and BetMGM have live betting markets for all French Open matches, including early-round matches, men’s singles, women’s singles, and doubles matches. Virtually pre-match bet types are also available in the live markets, including moneyline, game-winner, set winner, spread, and over/under.

What strategies should I consider for successful French Open betting?

You should bet on favorites to win the French Open. While upsets do happen, it is very unlikely that a lowly-ranked player will win the whole tournament. Bet on players like Nadal and Djokovic winning their matches in straight sets. These players always dominate their opponents, and matches typically only last 3 sets.

Are there any specific betting tips for the French Open?

Bet on French and Spanish players. French and Spanish players grew up playing on clay courts since they were kids. All of that experience gives them an edge over other pros who are used to playing on hard surfaces. You can never go wrong betting on Nadal, he is the best clay court player of all time and has won 14 French Open titles.

How do I choose a reliable and trustworthy French Open betting site?

To choose a reliable and trustworthy French Open betting site, make sure the platform is licensed and legally operating in your state. Then you need to read reviews from real players and keep an eye out for red flags like not honoring bonuses, slow to process withdrawals, and banning winners.
