To put it simply, players create picks in an over/under format based on individual player projections. The more picks that are chosen, the larger the payout opportunities are. These projections will vary depending on the athlete and sport.

There are two different types of Pick ‘Em games provided by PrizePicks – Flex Play and Power Play. The rules for these games are similar, yet there are some key differences when it comes to the risk and payout opportunities involved.

Flex Play

Flex Play is the less-risky type of Pick ‘Em game available to play at PrizePicks. In this game, players choose between 2-6 picks. The difference here is that Flex Play allows players to miss one or even two picks and still earn money in return.

As more picks are included in a Flex Play lineup, the payout structure changes. For example, a 3-pick lineup can allow for a player to earn 2.25x their entry fee with each correct pick. Miss one of those picks and players will still earn 1.25x their entry fee.

If a player feels risky and creates a 6-pick lineup, players can miss 2 picks and still earn half of their entry fee back. Miss just one pick and earn 2x their entry fee. Choose all six picks in a Flex Play lineup correctly to earn 25x your entry fee!

Power Play

Power Play represents the riskier type of Pick ‘Em options at PrizePicks. This one works very similar to a standard sports betting parlay. Create your lineup of just 2-4 picks and if just one of those picks is incorrect, you lose your entire entry fee.

Of course, the higher risk comes with more lucrative payouts. A 2-pick Power Play lineup pays members 2x their entry fee. A 3-pick lineup pays 5x your entry fee. Create a four-pick Power Play lineup and receive 10x your entry fee if each of those picks are correct.

PrizePicks Pick ‘Em Arena Games

In early 2024, PrizePicks announced it was launching an entirely new type of game called the Pick ‘Em Arena. This is a peer-to-peer game, in which players compete with each other for various prizes. The rules for this type of game are simple.

1. Visit the daily projection board.
2. Select between 2-4 picks.
3. Choose your entry fee ($5, $10, $20, $50, $100)
4. Submit your picks.

Once this process is complete, PrizePicks will automatically enter you into a certain group of players based on the number of picks chosen, entry fee, and experience level. From here, players have two different ways to win money.

The first way to win cash is to correctly make each of your four picks. This results in a 10x payout of your entry fee. The player within each group who earns the most points then also wins 10x their entry fee. The point structure within these groups is seen below.

From a design and user-interface standpoint, PrizePicks certainly excels. It looks extremely modern when using both a desktop and mobile device.
